2019 Highlights & 2020 Inspiration
Hi Lionheart,
I'm so grateful to have had such a wonderful year with you. Thank you for reading my weekly newsletters and for allowing me to share my music and singing and songwriting tips with you.
I want to share some highlights from 2019, a Facebook live training on how to find your vocal style, and some questions for you to think about going into 2020.
2019 music highlights:
Made a full live show revamp through mentorship with Laura Escudé in her course, Transmute. I also met some really cool artists there!
Incorporated code(!) to my live Ableton set with the help of DiViNCi (of the Soliloquy of Sound and Ms. Lauryn Hill) at Studio Sensei.
Performed my new demos regularly at 343 Labs, the Warper Party, Hug Quarters, Glitch LIVE electronic jam at Arlene’s Grocery, and Coney Island Baby.
Finished a new experimental electronic track with Spiderhound to be released in 2020.
Presented a workshop on creative performance with vocals with Ableton at the New York Ableton User Group meetup at 343 Labs.
Presented a singing and songwriting masterclass through the New York Singing Teachers’ Association at Opera America.
My song, Elkin + Alarke’s "Let It Go" went to NBC’s World of Dance Competition.
Co-produced my singing and songwriting client Ava Anderson’s EP, "Unstoppable," which has won the following awards (and is still waiting to hear back from more):
2019 USA Songwriting Competition
Unstoppable - 1st place Children's Category
2019 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest - Songwriters Association of Washington
Broken Up - 1st place Children's Category
