Big. Big. News. and a little secret.

"Ohh, they have the internet on computers now!?" – Homer Simpson

Hi Lionheart,

What an awesome time at the HugQuarters show. Thank you for coming out! We picked wildflowers from the garden and designed the set with them.

Here are some of us girls before the show.

This weekend I sat on the grant panel for a big artist fellowship. Having done this twice and also having been awarded two artist residencies with the Brooklyn Arts Council and Strathmore, I am happy to offer consulting services for grant writing. If you or someone you know wants assistance with writing proposals for grants, fellowships, and artist residencies, get in touch.

I’m thrilled to announce that my songwriting student Ava Anderson’s song "Broken Up" just placed 6th out of 1800 entries in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest! She’s a semi-finalist in the pop category. We had so much fun writing and recording this song together.

One of my goals this year has been to become an Ableton jedi. Thanks to everything I've been learning in my own music classes with Transmute and Studio Sensei, I've been doing just that. I'm coding my live set in Ableton with ClyphX. Essentially, I'm automating some live parameters to the computer to free up my hands to play with my midi keyboards and controllers and to interact with you in the audience. Here's a glimpse from my studio session this morning:

Go to setyourlifetomusic.com for free singing and songwriting trainings and to enroll in private lessons.

Follow my Instagram stories and Facebook lives to catch livestreams of performances, studio tips, and life behind-the-scenes.

It's always for you + me, Lionheart. So much love.

Mad love. Wishing you inspiration and expansion.
