In It to Win It
“LET ME LEARN TO GIVE THE PAST AWAY, REALIZING THAT IN SO DOING I AM GIVING UP NOTHING.” – A COURSE IN MIRACLES
Hi Lionheart,
The Transmute Accelerator that I'm a part of to take my live show to the next level is kicking ass. Last night we submitted videos of our new performances, and I want to share mine with you.
I made a video of my rehearsing "Let It Go" - it's the song written by me and Elkin Pautt that's at NBC right now for their show World Of Dance and on the Producer Dojo World Of Dance Cypher.
Listen to Let It Go by Elkin and Alarke on Spotify, SoundCloud, or Apple Music.
I've got some new tunes for you that I'm programming in the live show. This week I've been back and forth with two mixing engineers to make final tweaks to new songs.
Today and tomorrow my songwriting students and I are in the studio to mix and master their new EP.
In it to win it, Lionheart.
Are you diving in to March?

Participating in the Transmute Accelerator and business and life coaching programs is making a big difference on how I show up. There's a lot of perspective shifting in thinking and acting from your best future self. There's also accountability, which motivates me to show up and do challenging work in writing my best songs, becoming a music performing and production techie with Ableton, developing my live performance, and making Set Your Life To Music the best it can be for you.
I'm exploring Amazonian tribal rituals and spiritual ceremonies, meditating on mantras and visualizing, and reading A Course In Miracles and Women Who Run With The Wolves. I'm feeling uplifted and connected. All of these bring me back to the sacred plant medicine ceremony I did in December where I connected with my highest self, alive throughout eternity. They help me stay open and move past fears, because I know that there is nothing to fear.
Everything is light. Alive.
For all women songwriters, do you ever feel that when you're making music, you're more complete at that moment than doing anything else? Yet, do you feel cut off from music? You used to write and perform songs and you want to get back to it, but it's overwhelming and paralyzing. Do you just want to come home and spend hours creating music?
My students are having incredible success by setting their lives to music. They're writing 3 new songs in 3 months, performing them, and now recording them. Some have changed careers and are now traveling the world and following their passions, claiming that the decision to invest in themselves for music lessons started a snowball effect throughout their lives. Others are feeling artistically fulfilled, and using this to make their current lives more joyful and beautiful.
Using Julia Cameron's 'The Artist's Way' as a framework, we integrate songwriting and singing lessons with artistic and spiritual practices. It's more than just music lessons; it's a transformational experience that has profoundly impacted many lives.
Do you want to commit to writing 3 songs in 3 months? Do you want to get clear on and sculpt your artistic and life vision? Do you want to live your best life?
