Grace Music Video & Meditation
Hi Lionheart,
I'm starting a new adventure, perhaps one that will be incredibly profound:
- taking the course Living from a Place of Surrender
- reading the Bhaghavad-Gita, with a translation by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, which touches upon the most essential questions, challenges and lessons in life
- exploring transcendental meditation
What are you exploring in these final two months of the decade, Lionheart?
Speaking of inner peace and light, I wanted to share my music video for my song "Grace" with you.

Grace, the title song off my most recent album, was initially musically inspired by the major and diminished chord progressions in a song by the legendary Gypsy jazz guitarist and composer Django Reinhardt. The lapping chord progressions, so open yet wistful, rise and fall back to their original chords.
An extended piano entrance with high notes and bells signifies a divine entity entering the protagonist's experience. The violins combine with synthesizers to create a hybrid classical and electronic chamber orchestral bed of sound. The ascending classical vocal line at the end of the song is modeled after Rachmaninov arias.
The song has a pop structure with verses in a lower vocal range, the pre-chorus building in pitch, and the chorus climbing to a yearning reach. The bridge enters in a classic pop form, embarking on a new direction different from the rest of the song.
The title of the song has a double meaning and purpose: it's to show gratitude to a fan named Grace who has been a blessing in my life, and it's also to reference that divine moment.
The music video is a compilation of scenes showing the recording process and people in my life who also deserve the sentiment, "where would I be without you?"

Thank you for joining me in this musical journey, Lionheart. I couldn't and wouldn't do it withoutcha.
Much love. Wishing you inspiration and expansion, Lionheart.
